Bio
At uni, I did a BA in History and Politics and then an LLM in Law and Politics of International Security, but I’ve always somehow managed to intertwine my studies with my deep affinity for arts, and I think this really helped me become my today self. When I enter a room, besides walls, furniture and the obvious likes, there’s only one thing I really see: history. I’m usually not great with numbers, but years, years I know. I can make an accurate portrait of the periods flaunting around a room, I can easily compartmentalise different time periods and currents and make sense of them wholesomely.
I am also very much aware that nowadays everyone is looking for a feeling and what I am trying to achieve here with OBOL is a more rational emanation of feelings. History plays a fundamental role by giving us the opportunity to learn from the past, suggesting thus this tremendous possibility of gaining a better understanding of ourselves in the present, by understanding the circumstances, choices, contexts and motric forces that brought us all here, today, in this ‘now’ we call present.
Understanding the history of your coffee porcelain cup can help you unveil so much about yourself, just by teaching you patience in taking your time to learn about it, temperance by making thoughtful purchases and self-awareness from learning about our common past through your own lenses.
