Porcelain creamer/milk jug produced by Heinrich & Co. of Selb, Bavaria, in Germany during early 1950s, in the Anmut shape/model. The Anmut Collection is still being produced by Villeroy & Boch, that now owns H&C, and is considered a tribute to the 1950s, with romantic curves and a timeless design, ranging from fine gold creations, rainforest motifs, paisley patterns or a touch of pink and nature inspired patterns.

In the 1950s, roses were all the hype and people, both in Europe and USA were very much into owning a rose garden and inserting rose patterns into they home decor, from wallpapers, to curtains, sofas and homeware items. Of course the rose craze was also present into the fashion industry, with dresses and shirts featuring all sorts of rose patterns.

With a delicate thornless rose bud pattern that resembles a watercolour painting, on all sides of the creamer, symbolising historically a state of grace and sinlessness, and a colloidal gold rim also present on the handle. Generous enough (210 ml),  this piece is great to have on your cupboard, regardless whether you have your coffee with milk or go the English way and prefer black tea with milk.
