Op Art Bavaria Schumann Arzberg porcelain vase, produced in West Germany during 1960s, up until 1970 when the company started using another mark. A classic minimalistic Op Art piece, the vase features basic geometric lines, a leitmotif for the movement, that aimed to step away from the traditional meaning behind a line, oftentimes described as expressive, powerful or sensitive, instead seeking to offer a new expression to this form, as precise and/or hard-edged, in order to serve a perceptual purpose.
With a minimalist line relief pattern and a slightly spherical shape, this is a classic piece that truly embodies the mid-century style, a wonderful addition to any modern home. The vase is in mint condition, glazed inside and out for an easy clean.
