Porcelain trio produced by Bareuther Waldsassen Bavaria in 1967, just one year after their 100 years anniversary and two years before merging with another large porcelain manufacturer, being at the crossover between one chapter and another from the company’s history.
So, its 1967, Aretha Franklin just released “Respect” which soon became the song of the year and an anthem of the civil rights struggle and of the nascent women’s movement, the Beatles launch their "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album while Andy Warhol established his print-publishing business, Factory Additions, publishing a series of screen print portfolios, the first one to meet the public being “Marilyn Monroe”, Bareuther was producing this porcelain set, a mix between Op Art (see the sun/rays of light pattern) and reminiscent design features that takes us back to the 1920s, with colloidal gold, dark raspberry and pink insertions.
And even though the pieces have a noticeable time patina, they are in great condition, the time patina giving it the feel that it has actually been in your home and used since the first time they left the Bareuther`s warehouse.
