Set of 6 Eschenbach Bavaria Germany white porcelain starter/dessert plates with an intricate patterns and colloidal gold details on the inner and outer rim, produced at the beginning of the 1950s. The intricate dark grey pattern reminds of the Art Deco style, whilst the gold details give an elegant yet minimalist and contemporary vibe.
These are a lovely addition to your dinner table and a nice memorabilia from the 1950s, when under the Eschenbach brand, Winterling was reviving their production after in the previous years, with the end of the WWII and the liberation of the cities, a vast majority of the company’s designs and moulds were destroyed or lost.
Great for starters and deserts, all plates are in excellent condition and might show some fine cutlery lines, most likely due to use, but those small imperfections give that extra character.
